The consortium, no-profit making company, has the purpose of supporting the productive and commercial activities (purchases and sales) of the consortium member companies that purchase raw materials, thanks to their set-up, produce and sell finished goods in geographical areas very distant from each other.

Support activities consist of:

1. Gathering information on the markets, on directional trends, on production units and trends, on sales, on supplies, on logistics, on marketing, engineering and technologies as well as gathering any strategic information, information on the state of the market and economic, technical or market information useful for company applications;

2. Organising and implementing programmes to attend to associated and/or collective trade fairs and exhibitions, shows, international tender, job and supply competitions, economic missions and similar, group studies or working groups with strategic exchanges;

3. Acquiring, using and granting know-how and technology in general;

4. Researches and studies in the advertising area, in the predisposition and production of collective catalogues, promoting and organising visits by operators, journalists, opinion leaders, promoting collective purchases and sales, issuing quality guarantees, trademarks, as well as organising any other activity which aims to enable, encourage or increase the above mentioned activities;

5. Managing the representative offices in Italy and abroad as supports for pursuing the activities as per the above points as well as increasing the commercial penetration of the consortium members in the various Countries.

6. Employing agencies to represent and/or intermediate in the leather, tannery machinery and chemical products fields, to offer market research consultancy and to manage trademarks, patents, design rights and royalties.

Leather trade is the activity carried out from the associated enterprises, in particular raw materials, Wet Blue and Crust.

To this day, the associated companies are considered the largest references in this area in a world-wide level.
